Fine Asian furniture throughout this traditional Bethesda home. These are not the export pieces traditionally associated with Chinese and South East Asian decor. Pieces include a pair of summer throne chairs, carved elm etagere, ebony chow table, antique wall mirror collection, various sized Korean chests, array of lacquered rattan and bamboo furniture including an oval games table, a tall bookcase/shelving unit, folding chairs and more. In addition to furniture, this sale contains Chinese artwork including batiks, reverse painted pieces and paintings on silk and rice paper. Many are unique in their subject matter such as exotic avian scenes and Deco fashion paintings/prints. There is a gong (unknown metal) in iron stand with striker. Chinese rug (4’x6’ approx.) with added velvet loops and decorative hardware for wall hanging. This rug has never been on a floor.
There are some antique porcelains and many items for entertaining as well as extensive glassware.
